Resort Description

Le Méridien Bora Bora features amazing white sand beaches, gorgeous turquoise waters and a spectacular view over famous Mount Otemanu. The resort is an ideal retreat for anyone seeking exclusive and ultimate privacy. There are no roads and no traffic - just peace, tranquility, and eye-catching tropical beauty. The beaches at the Le Meridien are among the best in Bora Bora and the waters off of the furthest built Premium Overwater Bungalows offers some of the best and deepest swimming waters in the area.

There are a total 99 bungalows at Le Meridien - 82 Overwater and 17 Beach Bungalows. The hotel has successfully blended French modernism with Tahitian style. Instead of offering the typical glass-top coffee tables in the overwater bungalows, Le Meridien has built large glass floors. One very special feature of Le Meridien is its turtle sanctuary. Within the center of the resort lies a lagoon within the lagoon. While the number varies, you will typically find over 50 turtles within the lagoon. The resort is involved in the protection of these fantastic creatures and releases them after 3 years when the risk of predators killing them off is greatly reduced. The really wonderful feature about this sanctuary is that you can get right in the lagoon and swim with the turtles! In addition the hotel has a swimming pool and while they do not have an actual spa, they have converted one of the Overwater Bungalows into a massage room. You may also receive a massage in the privacy of your own bungalow.

The Turtle Sanctuary at Le Méridien Bora Bora, an effort to help save the magnificent hawksbill turtle. The hotel offers a unique opportunity to meet, greet, and learn about marine turtles in their natural environment. Educational presentations are provided to teach guests about these beautiful creatures, and guests can swim with the turtles in the picturesque lagoon or even "adopt" a turtle and help in the quest to return these animals to their natural wild habitat.

There is also a wide selection of activities available at the resort. Including two swimming pools, snorkeling equipment (fins, masks), kayak/outrigger canoes, pedal boats, ping pong, billiards, beach volley, free transfers to the main island, and many children activities including a playground, kid-sized windsurf boards, and snorkeling equipment for children ages 2 and older.
The Le Meridien Bora Bora offers both beach and overwater bungalows.

The art deco-style Beachfront Bungalows are available with either a queen-size bed or two single beds. The bungalows provide an exceptionally warm welcome, with burnished hardwoods, louvered windows, thatched ceilings and earth-toned fabrics throughout. Discerning guests revel in the authentic Polynesian feel while appreciating modern touches such as direct dial phone, safe, satellite-television, CD, DVD and MP3 reader, minibar, and coffee and tea amenities. Decked out with a dressing area, the spacious, air-conditioned bungalows are approximately 60 square meters. The bathrooms feature a full array of amenities plus a separate bathtub and walk-in shower. Each Beach Bungalow also offers its own private beach, with deck-chairs and hammocks available.

The Overwater Bungalows are located right over the water with a large section of glass flooring providing endless fascination for guests. Each bungalow features a large deck, which is an ideal place to read or take in the sunset. Ladders from the deck make it easy to slip into the lagoon's warm, turquoise water. All bungalows are air-conditioned and have the same amenities as Beach Bungalows.

The Premium Overwater Bungalows are ideal for travelers seeking romance, privacy, or both. These bungalows boast the best views in the resort, deepest waters, and feature all the facilities mentioned above.

Dining:

Le Tipanie is widely renowned as one of the finest dining experiences in Bora Bora. Set overlooking the resort's interior lagoon, the restaurant welcomes guests in a stylish and original setting. A la carte dinner and several buffets are offered in different themes, with creative menus updated weekly.

Le Te Ava restaurant is located poolside, offering dining with your feet in the sand amid a delightfully relaxed atmosphere. This kick-back beach restaurant is reminiscent of a traditional Tahitian village, with the perfect ambiance for romantic lunches as well as relaxed dinners.

Bar:

Distinguished from the island's watering holes by its architecture, the Miki Miki Bar is designed as a prow of a ship, pointing toward Mount Otemanu. It is a unique setting in which to savor a house cocktail while watching the overwhelming beauty of the sunset across the lagoon.
A wellness center is available for that ultimate moment of relaxation. Pamper yourself with a menu of therapeutic body treatments, massages, hands and feet treatments, and more.
